7,641 islands, eight great places to start. Read our honest guides, pick what pulls you — and let us join them into one route.
Choosing islands is the easy part. Combining them is ours.
The most common planning mistake we see is picking islands from photographs alone. The photos are all real — but so are the domestic flights, ferry timetables and two monsoon seasons that decide whether three particular islands make one graceful route or a logistical headache. Our honest rule of thumb: over a fortnight, two or three of these places plus a night in Manila beats a dash through five. Each guide below tells you why to go, how many nights a place deserves, and what it pairs well with. When something catches you, tell us — designing tailor-made multi-centre routes through these islands is what we do from our home in the Philippines.
